Coach Keyword Cheatsheet

📣 Broadcasts — You send these

ALL message	Send to your entire roster (Athletes, Coaches, families)
COACHES message	Send to Coaches only
FAMILY Lastname message	Send to one specific family — include their last name after FAMILY
ATHLETE Firstname message	Send directly to one athlete — their parents are automatically CC'd. If two athletes share a first name, add a last initial: `ATHLETE Anna J message`
ONE COACH Firstname message	Send a private message to one coach by first name

Examples: ALL No practice Friday — see you Monday 5pm! · FAMILY Smith Great job today, Jordan! · COACHES Setup at 3:30 — bring cones

📋 Practice Summaries

PRACTICE SUMMARY	Start a new session summary — system will prompt you for notes
SUMMARY notes	Log session notes in one message (skip the prompt)
REPORT	Get the latest practice summary sent to your phone

Example: SUMMARY Good energy today. Worked on drills. 14 attended.

🗓 Absence Tracking — Members send these

ABSENT	Athlete or family texts this to report they won't be at today's practice
ABSENT date	Report absence for a future date — e.g. `ABSENT May 15` or `ABSENT 05/15`

Also accepted: out, won't be there, not coming, can't make it, missing practice

🔕 Opt-Out (Anyone)

STOP	Unsubscribe from all messages — legally required
START	Re-subscribe after opting out
HELP	Get help info sent back automatically

STOP / STOPALL / CANCEL / END / QUIT / UNSUBSCRIBE all work.

💡 Quick Tips

Not case-sensitive	`all`, `ALL`, and `All` are the same
Keyword must be first	Start your message with the keyword — nothing before it
No app needed	Members and families reply from any phone — plain SMS
Two-way replies	When a member replies, it lands in your Coach Inbox on the dashboard
Absence auto-logged	Dashboard updates live when a member sends an absence message
