RallyText app

Your inbox, on your home screen.

The RallyText dashboard installs straight from your browser on iPhone, Android, or a computer. It opens in its own window, and it can alert you when someone texts back. No app store download.

Who it's for

For the people who send the texts

The app is for the coaches, leaders, and staff who send announcements and answer replies. Members never need it. They keep getting plain text messages on any phone that can text, flip phones included.

iPhone and iPad

Install on iPhone

  1. Open rallytext.app/dashboard in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open RallyText from your home screen. If it asks you to sign in, sign in once more.
  5. To get reply alerts, tap Enable when the dashboard offers notifications, then tap Allow.

Reply alerts on iPhone and iPad need iOS 16.4 or later, and they only work from the installed app on your home screen, not from a Safari tab.

Android

Install on Android

  1. Open rallytext.app/dashboard in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap Install when the dashboard offers it. Or open the Chrome menu (⋮) and choose Install app. Some phones call it Add to Home screen.
  3. Open RallyText from your home screen or app drawer.
  4. To get reply alerts, tap Enable when the dashboard offers notifications, then tap Allow.
Computer

Install on a computer

In Chrome or Microsoft Edge, open the dashboard and click Install when it's offered, or use the install icon at the right end of the address bar. RallyText then opens in its own window and can show reply alerts while your browser is running.

Reply alerts

Know when someone texts back

When a member replies, staff who turned on alerts get a notification with the sender's name and the start of the message. Tap it to open the inbox. Alerts go to the staff roles that receive replies. You can turn them off any time in your phone's or browser's notification settings.

Questions

Good to know

Is it a different app from the website?
No. It's the same dashboard you use in a browser, with the same account and the same messages. Installing it gives it a home-screen icon and its own window.
Does it work offline?
It needs a connection to load messages and send them. Without one, it shows a short offline notice instead of an out-of-date inbox.
How do I remove it?
Delete it like any other app by pressing and holding the icon. Your account and messages are not affected.
