They sound alike but do different jobs. The free organization account is for a director who oversees many separately run teams. The Organization plan ($129/mo) is a team plan tier for one large account that wants more credits, listed on the pricing page next to the other plans.

Is the organization account really free?
Yes. Your organization account never bills you. Each team in your organization picks and pays its own plan, and your director page lists every one of them.
How much is the organization discount, and how does a team get it?
The standard discount is 10% off a team's plan, set per organization when we create your account. Teams that sign up through your invite link get it automatically on every renewal. Teams that already use RallyText can enter your code on their Plan and Billing tab, and the discount applies from their next payment on.
What is the difference between the free organization account and the $129/mo Organization plan?
The free organization account is a director-level view over many separately billed teams. The Organization plan is a team plan tier: one team account with 10,000 credits a month, the RallyText API and webhooks, and priority support, billed at $129/mo. A director overseeing independent teams wants the free account. A single large program that needs more credits wants the plan.
